Databased Decisions for Sustainable Procurement
As a global leader in ventilation and air conditioning technology, the company employs around 5,000 people across 28 countries and views sustainable procurement as a driver of growth. The goal was to align the supplier base with climate-neutral practices and optimize performance metrics across all subsidiaries. The challenge was not only to create transparency across all locations but also to derive actionable recommendations from the data.

Initial Situation
Since its founding in 1951, TROX has been committed to providing its customers with first-class air quality—whether outdoors or indoors. As a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of components, devices, and systems for room ventilation and air conditioning, the company employs around 5,000 people in 28 countries and generates annual revenue of €724 million.
Sustainability is viewed by TROX as a driver of growth, including within procurement. As part of its sustainability strategy, which aims for 100% sustainable procurement by 2040, TROX plans to align its supplier base accordingly. Key suppliers are to be evaluated for climate neutrality, and performance indicators optimized—across all 33 subsidiaries. The challenge was not only to create cross-location data transparency within a single system but also to derive actionable recommendations based on that data.

"The dashboards provide a structured overview, granular drill-downs, and offer the buyer a range of tools to prepare for price negotiations with suppliers. We are excited to see the results once the entire TROX Group is connected and we can compare data across all subsidiaries.”
