Since its founding in 1951, TROX has been committed to providing its customers with top-quality air—whether outdoors or indoors. The global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of components, devices, and systems for room ventilation and air conditioning employs around 5,000 people across 28 countries, generating an annual revenue of 724 million euros.
Initial Situation
TROX sees itself as both a traditional company and a technology leader, placing great emphasis on socially and ethically responsible actions. TROX views sustainability as a growth driver, particularly in the context of procurement. As part of its sustainability strategy, which aims for 100% sustainable procurement by 2040, TROX plans to align its supplier base accordingly. Core suppliers will be evaluated for climate neutrality, and key performance indicators will be optimized—across all 33 subsidiaries. The challenge was not only to create data transparency across multiple locations within a single system but also to drive actionable recommendations based on the data.
An adaptable and flexible procurement solution was needed.

Customer Specific Metrics
Co-Creation 1
At the outset of the project, it was crucial to collaboratively develop customer-specific metrics (KPIs) for supplier evaluation to be able to analyze these metrics within the software. In addition to metrics such as Best-Cost-Country Rate, Localization Rate, and Inco terms, TROX also focused on KPIs for assessing sustainability and compliance. For ESG supplier evaluation, the company was already using Integrity Next, a leading cloud solution for sustainability management in the supply chain.
Co-Creation 2
As part of the second co-creation phase, technical integration was carried out with another partner, sustamize GmbH. TROX aimed for complete transparency regarding its Scope 3 emissions. With the CO2 data from sustamize and the existing TROX data, it is now possible to view the Product Carbon Footprint at the item number level. This includes a detailed CO2 breakdown for the supplier‘s raw materials, logistics, freight, and processes. Regarding usability and user interface, TROX has clear expectations and anticipates high user adoption and acceptance within the procurement group. The project leads are therefore in close contact with ivoflow‘s development team to collaboratively further develop the CO2 module.
